>> Hell man, you are defending the most expensive and lower quality health care in the world.

Nobody in his right mind would agree with this absurd statement.

Even if you believe American health care isn't the best in the world (and nobody who is knowledgeable about the subject does), you can't conceivably argue it is "lower quality" by any reasonable metric.

Hell, 50% of the WORLD's medical innovation comes from the United States. HALF. So it isn't shocking that it is expensive, but that's the price you pay for keeping people alive who otherwise would be dead.

The argument is just ridiculous on its face.

As to Frist, he said LAST NIGHT that the American healthcare system is the best in the world. And he did not, AFAIK, say he'd vote for a government option. Although he is more liberal than most on it.

Dave runs a small business that leeches off small medical practices and raises your cost of care. From how he defends the indefensible medical insurance industry, I'm pretty sure they fund him too, raising your premiums. He's got a STAKE in the current, broken system.

So, just know where he's coming from.
