Shep Smith might be Fox's most reasonable host, but that doesn't make him a liberal. He's still a Republican-leaning type of guy, and the fact that he sees the value of a public option illustrates just how sensible and mainstream an idea it is.

I'd rather focus on what he said, which is inarguable.

I find it hilarious that inode thinks he's liberal. The reason he thinks that is because Smith is a news anchor....which means he maintains a neutral position. He's expected to give the news without bias........and to inode's ears that sounds like a liberal. People who give news without a bias are liberal to dave. LOL.

What's really clever about Fox is that they picked a guy to do their news who hasn't been able to rid himself completely of his southern accent. So Fox viewers who congregate mostly in the South feel at home with him even though he's not spewing the usual Fox crap.
