For a little nostalga (sp?) I looked over some old INCE correspondence which was originally posted on Prodigy's BB.

It's October, 1996 and INCE (I guess our man Neild) released a forecast for fiscal year 1997. According to the forecast (in accounting terms this is the best estimate of future events--as opposed to a projection which is a series of what ifs) INCE was going to earn $1.40 in that fiscal year. Multiply that times a 20 p.e. and that is why I started buying with the price then at $4/share. It's over a year later and we now know how realistic the $1.40 was.

Clearly this "forecast" was worse than pie in the sky. I have always wondered how a company can issue such a document and not have to take responsibility for its contents. My initial investment in the company was based on this document and I assume others followed suit (no pun intended). Does a company have to stand behind such a pile of _ _ _ _ (starts with an s)?

On the brighter side--with Bill's encouragement I called Paul M. and spoke with him on several subjects. If this man is not a straight shooter he should get an academy award because I was quite impressed with his straight forwardness and frankness. My personal read is that we are NOW in extremely good hands.

I think what motivated this post was an ad I read for ITCO in Individual Investor magazine this past week. Yup, it hiped ITCO and I have to admit I mentally shook my head and wondered how long someone can push such stuff on the public.

When the hipe stuff was going on I defended the company on this board but somehow this ITCO stuff has gotten to a stage that's silly. I see no hype from INCE only ITCO. Probably the best thing that could have ever happened to us was for the break up.

Peace, Hugh
