I know universities that let you pre-buy an education for your kids. I wonder if the agreements are transferable. If they were, you could buy a couple now and sell them on E-Bay in 10 years. It would be like printing money. :)

Yes, that is rather a downside. Not much for incentives to control costs or options. Next time you have a physical, ask your doctor how much it all costs... he or she will likely have no idea. My kid's tuition at UW is going up 14% this year, and my other kid will see another 14% hike next year as she enters. Can't wait to see what the tuition will be for the one who gets there in 3 years.
