TD allows you to wash your trade in USD MM.. in RRSP ie if you have US stocks and you sell, next day of the trade, call the Rep and ask him to wash it and he will convert your settlement into US MM at US$10 per unit.. No charges.. Works well but you do have to remember to call in.. Reverse of that is of course, if you have US MM in RRSP and you buy US stock, you have to call in next day for the Rep to sell enough to settle your trade.. No charges there either..

The only wash I can do is if I sell and buy US securities on the same day.. and I have to pick up the phone to request it.. They do not do it automatically.

Yes. That is what I have to do. Huge pain in the ass. "They're working on it", and have been doing so for at least 2.5 years.
