<When science started showing us all the factual errors in the bible most of the christian religions turned to an allegorical interpretation of the bible, instead of a literal one. Impossible to defend a literal interpretation of the bible.> Nawwww.... the idea of God transcneds all cultures and the Bible is simply wrtings pertaining to {certain, and supposedly all} experiences of god and then written down. Those that take the Bible literally a small minority of nutcases. <It is actually this phenomenon we should be discussing i.e. why are we even debating this issue in the face of such overwhelming scientific facts?> It's certainly scientific fact that any literal interpretation of the Bible is poppycock.
