Maya Gold & Silver Reports More High-Grade Gold Results From 3 Additional Zones Wed Oct 7, 11:37 AM ca.news.finance.yahoo.com MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Oct. 7, 2009) - MAYA GOLD & SILVER (TSX VENTURE: MYA.V) is pleased to announce high-grade gold results from its surface channel sampling program on its Amizmiz gold and silver project in Morocco. Recent mapping (approximately 350 metres south from AZ and T zones where low grade-bulk tonnage and high grade layer type deposits have been identified) has led to the localisation of three more showings. The AZS-1, AZS-2 and AZN zones have been partly stripped and channel sampled. The mineralized zones appear again to be long stratabound layers. - On the AZS-1 zone, 8 channel samples were collected over a length of 16 m and returned an average grade of 11.9 g/t Au and 21.9 g/t Ag (including 30.90 g/t Au and 60 g/t Ag over 1.60 metre) on an average width of 1.7 metre. - On the AZS-2 zone, 5 channel samples were collected over a length of 9 m and returned an average grade of 25.1 g/t Au on an average width of 0.87 metre (including 31.69 g/t Au over 1 metre). - On the AZN zone, 11 channel samples were collected over a length of 16m and returned an average grade of 12.3 g/t Au and 33.7 g/t Ag on an average width of 0.54 m (including 69.33 g/t Au and 47 g/t Ag over 0.45 metre).
