LOL.. well they are not useless but I wonder at the ranking criteria at times.. good universities produce some dumb people and poorer ones produce some smart ones :O

Correlate GDP and nr. and universities then come back talk to me.

Developing countries have been intimidated that its is truck load of PhDs that are necessary for a country to take off.

These rankings are to attract the incautious parents of emerging markets to send their kids there now that they are emptying.
