All of my great-grandparents came from Ireland and settled in Canada. Only when you travel do you understand that Canada is not a democracy. It is a panoply of distinct societies and first nations. Canada is a failing colonial power who under-estimates the importance of trade with the USA. en.wikipedia.org If the U.S. was not immediately south of our border we would not exist at all.
