Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters Association chairman David Fung was one of the keynote speakers at the forum.

Fung said the recent recession has demonstrated the vulnerability of relying on the U.S. market.

"If we don't be part of the world, we're going to lose out," Fung said. "We need to participate in the global market. I think the Prince George Airport has a major opportunity to become part of the global supply chain."
