I have heard so many times from Dave and other Rs...even from Cramer......the public option is dead The only way it isn't dead is if the Congress decides to ignore the wishes of its constituency AND to pass it on a vote of 50 rather than the 60 that is required. Some have suggested that provisions in the legislation are unconstitutional, so all is not lost. And if push comes to shove, perhaps the Rs will repeal it after '10. At any rate, it is political suicide if the Ds pass it.
