"News flash!!! Larrabee isn't being released today." News flash!! Thank God because it would be a huge failure. Where they are today and where they need to be tomorrow in order to create a successful product a LONG way down the road. "This just shows how easy it would be for someone with resources to come in and shake things up." Another news flash!! Intel already has tried and failed several times. Why is this different? How long do you think it will take for them to catch up? 1,2,3,4,5 years? Name somebody at Intel who knows anything about high end graphics and can deliver them to the market. If you can then, maybe I would see where you are coming from. Unless I see a compelling demo and know there is a competent graphics team in place with a track record for delivering, then the idea Intel will take out AMD in the graphics market is fantasy for the next few years. Now if nvidia goes out of business, then perhaps Intel would do well with picking up the pieces as the rats jump ship.
