Take Hugo Chavez, for example.

Ski, he's a winner because the United States is most eager to buy his oil....

The Castro brothers have become worth over a Billion Dollars despite subjecting their people to abject poverty and one of the most oppressive regimes in the world.

I would say that they are successful despite claiming to be collectivists.

Besides all that, Cuba has one of the worst medical systems in the New World. Caring people would not subject their enemies to such filthy care in such backwards facilities.
