I am not a pure TA man. I combine basic TA with more tape watcing than anything else. My feeling is that the tape never lies. If there is a buyer or seller, they can't hide. They have to do the trades. YOu see the size, the frequency, the timing of the action, the strength and weakness of the stock upon getting hit one way or the other. This is what has gotten me my position in the firm, head trader, and it is what I use to base my trades upon. Speaking of APM, I happen to like it here as well. Both of these stocks i feel have some downside but ultimately the market will stabilitize (it took about 4 weeks in 1987) and then people will realize the single digit PEs ,great balance sheets with little debt and good market share.
