Can any of the Democrats expect that any citizen will trust them with anything after this last 9 months? It's one thing right after another, and honestly, most of us can't think of one good solid thing Obama and his merry band of thieves have done that is worthy of the title of President, or Senator, or Congressmen and Congresswomen.

I doubt that they would laugh even if they get promised more money. They know too well that the raise wouldn't be active for very long.

What surprises me is the amount of support which the "reform" actually enjoys. I always thought that a certain healthy mistrust towards government is integral to the American character. Now, suddenly, millions of people seem to have developed mistrust towards market solutions, and feel so very strongly that more government is the answer.

It's got to be a herding impulse related to hard economic times. The same impulse that makes people demand more government involvement in markets and business.
