As analysts and traders prepare for the event, also termed the "mating season" because it is the traditional time for producers and consumers to meet to thrash out annual supply deals, last year's funereal atmosphere may be replaced with something more bullish. For the first time since last year's slump in global markets, copper prices are up on a rolling 12-month basis.
