I can't imagine demands for delivery going bad. And I cannot begin to imagine the repercussions if failures do take place.

The rumors about failures of delivery seem fairly routine so for the time being I think I will whistle past the graveyard.

Yep, I can see the hands of folks like Paulson in the recent run-up. The manipulation - on both sides - is palpable. Perhaps this time the Fed will leave well enough alone since a weak USD is in the short term interests of the US. And don't forget that the Treasury does have a massive supply of bullion.
