Peter, I'm in for the long term, so I'll weather the downturns. I admit that the price drop caught me by surprise. With respect to good/bad stocks and market timing, I am more comfortable being in a fundamentally strong stock during a downturn than I would be in a fundamentally weak or overpriced momentum stock during a downturn. Not that my money knows the difference.

A falling tide sinks all ships. CUBE is strong enough to float when the tide comes back in.

So you play Go? I've seen it often, but I've never played. I'll have to try it -- maybe I'll learn something!

I think that depends upon your individual investment horizon. If you are a holder of about an average of 3 years, so what. If you are in for a year or two, than it makes a difference.
It kinda reminds me when the Tonight show had Malcolm Forbes on right after the 87 crash. Leno asked him how much money he had lost. His answer was " I haven't lost any. You have to sell to lose. I bought."

The sky is not falling! Why should the recent events in the east result in a bear market? Because the MMs think it should? Why is the crisis in the east any different than the one that occured in Mexico awhile back? That crisis did't trigger a bear market.

ditto on the thanks to Fred, Bill, John, David, etc. for the posts on CUBE fundamentals

Whats the difference between a professional and amateur investor? The professional panics first.

Peter said;
It is clear now that we are in the begining of a bear market. Given the prolonged bull market in the past several years coupled with the Asian currency crisis, which will shadow the earning perspective of many technology based companies, the bear market will not end in a matter of weeks. I predict it will take a couple of quarters for various market leaders to justify their earnings in the changed enviroment before the market remains the bull trend, and this may well be after 6 to 9 months. I further predict that the market will be down another 10-15% before a consolidation period begins.

Who said bear market? A bear market started when Peter? Its more like a correction in a BULL market. I think that by Mid December many people will be kicking themselves for not loading up on their favorite Techs during this correction.

Where's the bottom? I don't know when...but my feeling is that 930 on the NAZ was it, maybe we test it again....maybe we don't.

Your Bearish...I'm bullish on this dip, thats what makes this so fun.....
