Off topic - Diamonds - Russian diamond angle is old news...demand currently exceeds supply for high quality gems. Last couple of years world demand numbers rather impressive. Continued growth very likely, check in with me again in 2, 5, 10 years on this. De Beers won't go without a fight. Also some non de Beers mines are drying up now, I believe the low grade Argyle Australia mine is non de Beers

Has anyone mentioned the problem with diamonds is the terrible bid-ask spread unless you have the very largest gems and are a big dealer (so I understand). As I understand it, you could get a 40% rise in the market and just break even if you are an amateur investor in diamonds.
