Yep, I've got to agree with you when you say, "There was quite a bit of "hope and change" sentiment on that thread a year ago." Note that "a year ago" was before the Presidential election; before the Obama-Democrat take over -- before Obama's appointment of Tsars -- before his appointment of crooks and cronies to the cabinet -- and before the crimes of Buxom Barney Frank, Cheating Charlie Rangel, and Pompous Pelosi really surfaced big time for public scrutiny. Just think, and you thought it was bad before.
