Wei Jingsheng, a Chinese dissident known as 'the father of Chinese democracy', is among the 176 nominees who lost to Mr. Obama, but said he was honored to have been edged out by "a man of such staggering accomplishments."

"I was imprisoned more than 15 years for speaking out against a totalitarian communist regime," said Mr. Wei, "A book of my essays was published from my writings, initially scribbled on toilet paper in jail. But I have to admit that Barack Obama has written two books and given hundreds of autobiographical speeches with thinner material than that. I bow respectfully to the father of global peace."

On days like today, I am reminded of this observation:

“When facism comes to America it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.”

Sinclair Lewis

I mean think about it........the President is getting denigrated for being honored with a peace prize. He hasn't started any wars.....he hasn't killed any significant numbers of people. So then, he is unworthy of the prize.

There is evil all over the world but there is a very strong evil in this country. One that places more importance on war than peace. One that knows only one reaction to provocation.....and that is aggression.

The Taliban of this country are as aggessive and as war mongering as any militaristic people who have walked this planet. We will have to be ever vigilant and keep them from ever gaining power over this country again.
