It's difficult to end wars, especially since O. got all this
economic chit on his hands when he came. Ending Shrub's war on
terror simply is not his first priority, although he
played the popularity card with the hunt in Pakistan.
Unfortunately, thanks to mass media a few folks are taking
this war on terror chit quite seriously, not for what it really
is, a severe restriction of American freedoms by the State under
the pretence of fighting terrorists, foreign spies, etc.
Many Europeans saw it that other way.

Not that he dealt
with all economic chit yet, but that stuff is not really his
fault, and neither are economic policies. We got a pretty
universal fiscal and printing response around the globe.

O. did dissipate the Russian tension that W. built up with
his Georgia and missile defence stuff. The innocent may still
be slaughtered abroad, but at least the nukes are not flying.
Each ICBM carries around 10 separately targeted thermonuclear
warheads and is capable to completely destroy 10 cities.
