In the tenth grade I was 15 till near the end of that school year. This doesn't help your case. Your case is not typical.......most kids are 16 in 10th grade.....but really its a moot point, the guy in question was 16....end of story. Nor does the fact you're defending what Jennings himself apologized for. If you have a point here, I am missing it. Schools here have gay clubs. Kids don't have to go to bus stations to find gay men. Thank you for acknowledging the purpose of GSA organizations is to facilitate gay hookups. Its for gay kids to meet one another. Its the same with all service clubs........it gives kids with like minded interests to meet. Are you against service clubs now? As for Beck and Limbaugh, if you appointed Beck or Limbaugh, who have had drug problems, to a government drug policy organization or to a position where they had access to drugs they'd abused years ago - that would be inappropriate too. Homosexuality is not an addiction. If Jennings was a private citizen speaking out on his own behalf, even on a talk show, no one would have a problem with that. Hmmm....so any person who has a sexuality should not be allowed in education. If we followed your taboos, we would have very few people in education. Do you ever consider that you are way out of step? Why would he lie? He's not a kid any more....he's an adult. Actually, he wasn't a kid when he was 16. He was an adolescent. He would lie because he wants to protect a prominent member of the gay community in a public position. The story the kid didn't have sex with the guy who picked him up in a bus station bathroom is bull and we all know it. It means the guys credibility is zip. Do you understand that your biases would not hold up in a court of law? Did it ever cross your mind that the guy had a crush on Jennings? That to keep Jenning's interest he kept fabricating new stories to tell him. It wouldn't surprise me at all. There's no reason to think the kid made up any stories though. Logic would tell you that kids who meet adults in bus station bathrooms and go home with them are into doing it. He didn't go home with him. That the kid was telling Jennings stories to tempt him and tittilate him is very possible and opens a whole new realm of bad judgment on Jennings part. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if they met offsite for sex themselves. Having candid conversations about the kids sex life could well lead to them hooking up themselves. Sorry......its cool that you have an active imagination but its meaningless in this conversation. BTW what is your fascination with this stuff? Your concerns have been defused. Apparently, the 16 year old has grown up to be a capable gay man comfortable with his sexuality. There is no issue here. The issue is this guy is going to make all our schools friendly to this kind of stuff. I don't want my grandkids exposed to it. What you fear exists in many schools today. Maybe not in TX but in many places in this country. It may be time to home school your grandkids. Jennings stays. If he does, he's one more evidence of Obama's extremism and another club we can use agaisnt Obama. Actually, this is more evidence of your extreme biases.
