Looks like they have special oil patch software that works on databases of 1 TB. Also looks like they have a fairly wide distribution network. Hopefully Ancor will sell to a lot of these LANs.

I was also impressed by the GeoQuest/Ancor release earlier today when they said they had the network up and running in 8 hours. This confirms earlier posts that Ancor stuff is plug and play.

"Perhaps, Ken H was also trying to singlehandedly kill the MF/SI ANCR
threads today in one fell swoop and in so doing, lay to rest the
rumormill and the constant daily calls from the retail "investment"
community."
Whether you own 1 share, 1000 shares or 100,000 shares, I believe you are entitled to talk to the company. One of the obligations a publicly held company assumes is to talk to shareholders. Though I personally don't do it (I think I may have called once this past quarter) because I think it only yields the" party line", if it gives others a comfort factor, let em call. If Ken Hendricksen doesn't like the "baggage" that comes with being publicly held, perhaps he should do an LBO and take the company private. Of course if he tried that after today's warnings, I think the number of lawsuits the company faces might grow faster than its sales.

>>> Also, I understand that McEvoy is meeting with the CFO tomorrow. Today Ancor senior mgmt ( CEO, CFO )were fielding calls all day from the financial community. <<<< Frank did get out of the call pretty quickly.Glad that Steve Snyder going to meet with Kinnard personally.

Well he was probably incredibly successful in this endeavor.I even understand the wisdom of doing that.My only problem is that many of the longs on the board from the retail investment community have supported ANCOR with their dollars and many will continue to do so. I hope management does the same.

Kerry-You made a great call from top to bottom on how the quarter shaped up. I hear your criticism of the way the severence was handled. Any other thoughts how management handled the call and how they are doing in general.

One thing that is becoming less and less clear is when Ancor actually books revenue, and whether "on shipment" still applies. Just when did Ancor book the revenue from the initial Geoquest shipments, such as the one referenced in the press release concerning GeoQuest, or has that revenue, or any revenue from the oil company referenced as a separate matter in the earnings release? Will either of these provide future revenue streams, including in Q4? I would suspect so because, otherwise, just why would this new management team sign on?
