KT,

I disagree.

NO matter how bad things get in the short term, they can always get restructured and reorganized. Germany recovered from its currency collapse and so have many other countries. The world recovered from the Great depression etc...

If we actually had a sound monetary system, there would be nothing to fear about depositing gold and/or other hard assets and then using electronic means to draw against your holdings to pay for things.

The problem is the government/Wall St cabal wants to keep the existing system in place so that if can continue to finance wars, the welfare state, and the rape and pillage of citizens via the printing press. The other problem is that many of our elected officials are so lacking in intelligence (let alone knowledge) that they don't even understand the system they are part of. That's what makes it all seem so hopeless.

Have you ever actually listened to some of the congressional question and answer periods?

The republicans are pretty bad (except for Paul and a couple of others), but some of the democrats are so dreadfully ignorant of the way free markets and economies work, how the monetary system works, and how intelligent people behave etc..., it's frightening.

How can you fix something when half the people in charge are too dumb to know its broken and the other half is a bunch of socialist dimwits, heartless war mongers, and rape and pillage scamsters?
