MLK wouldn't be a dem today since they just care about the color of one's skin and not the content of their character.

He might be a D. And the election of Obama would have been a very proud day for him, as it should.

But he would undoubtedly be disappointed with Obama's performance.

King would have recognized that it is important, not only to have a black man elected, but for that man to be a competent leader, which Obama obviously hasn't been thus far. Because if he gets in office and acts like a thug, as he has, and he doesn't know what the hell he's doing, it may be a very long time before Americans give another black politician a shot. Unfortunate, but true.

MLK would also have some major problems, IMO, with the reinstitution of the welfare state after having seen what it did to blacks, how it destroyed them, from the 60s through the 90s.
