It is my belief that we as a nation will have to withdraw from the world stage as policeman. We simply cannot afford it.

The excess spending in Washington is bigger than Defense. If you eliminated all spending for defense (which would mean surrender), then you still would have a federal deficit.

The problem is not defense spending. The problem is that we as a society want more than what we are willing to pay for.

That's what I just posted. But it will be a cheaper dollar instead of bankruptcy. Inflation will be the outcome when the present deflation caused by the recession is over. We won't be carrying money around in wheelbarrows, inflation will run 5% or so.
