RB;

Can you believe I was able to short ZITL this morning at $15?

Looks like a gimmie to me.

I noticed this on Wed while watching CNBC. The Greenspan talk and biege book data should have been good news but were met by a wave of selling which drove down the Dow 60 points in each instance. Clearly some big interests are selling into market strengths. Also CNBC yacks and yacks about "small investors" stepping up and buying the dip. Given the huge volumes lately and the general wheel spinning by the overall market, I am starting to see a drawn out 3-6 month correction.

To All:

What is everyones opinion as to ELNK as a possible short? It's not likely to make any money for awhile yet and seems to be leveling off in price. Looks like it could be a sure bet to go back to the low teens if the market drifts downward. After looking at the fundamentals, I can't see any arguements as to why this stock will go any higher than it has in the short term.

RB;

What do you think of the idea of shorting stocks that announce a secondary share offering? It seems that most all stocks that announce these secondaries suffer declines in price because of earnings dilution.

Example from Friday

Lightbridge Inc. (LTBG): The developer of products and services for wireless telecommunications carriers said it filed with the
Securities and Exchange Commission to sell 2.5 million shares. Lightbridge stock closed unchanged at 14 1/2.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Hi Roger & all:

I wish I found this thread two weeks earlier and learnt some skill to sell shorts from your guys. Well, it looks like still not too late.

Dose anyone know how to get following information:

1. Any site provide the short sell information, like what is the volume in short position ?
2. Any site provide a detailed trading volume, one trade by one trade, not one minute or 5 minutes total volume.

Thank you
