At the rate WSP is going, I think you'll need to change everyone's Depends, not their diapers.

I don't think RT is going to lose if the geology doesn't pan out. IMHO He's got things worked out so it's a win-win situation for him. With his options priced around 80 cents and possibilites to run the stock price up in anticipation of good news, even if actual good news doesn't come, I've learned enough in the past year to bet dollars to donuts that old RT is going to come out smelling like a rose.

As to conspiracy theories, if RT has a history of getting cheap options on stocks what went from 25 cents to $1 and then down again to 25 cents ( which I'm told may have happened before- you know how to find out for sure?), I'd say that that was a relevant thing to know. I don't know about you, but I'd rather have my money in a company run with someone with integrity of the sort that Chris Jennings of SUF has, rather than with someone with the integrity of the CEO of Bre-X. (not that RT is in the latter category)
It looks like Randy is so busy with all these corporations, it's a miracle he has time to run Winspear.

And BTW, Chris, you keep harping on the fact that I don't call RT. Well, fact is I've spoken to him twice in the last year, and each time I hung up I felt like I had gotten absolutely nothing of value from the call. And, though I've said it almost as many times as you've suggested I call him, the other shareholders want to hear from him and have a right to hear from him. RT can post on this thread or have a conference call like 1st rate companies do. But he has chosen not to take the lead of those companies. I've posted dozens of questions on this thread the answers to which many SHs want to know
You mention January as being the time when things start to happen. Last year as I recall, it was supposed to be February when drilling was to start and ended up being late March or so. Anyone remember the exact dates? I'd be very very surprised if anything happens in January of 1998.
Bottom line, RT wins no matter what. IMO we're at the mercy of a CEO who shows no respect for SHs and who, with about 9 million in the bank, dilutes the float and gives himself and his buddies 6 million options exercisable at laughable sums - laughable if the geology as so great as you say it is and I hope it is.

So rah rah Winspear!!

Chris, You can have all the geology in the world, but when management chooses to dilute the hell out of it with cheap options, this makes for cheap share prices.

Follow all the deeds that this company has done over the past 12 months, and I think that would make a conspiracy believer out of anyone. Name one honorable, and noble thing this management has done for shareholders?? What they HAVE managed to do is drag out exploration efforts, drive share prices down, and then when shareholders have suffered extreme share devaluations, dilute these shares even further with 25% more cheap options.

What ever happened to shareholder rights?? That proposal should have been worded------ (no) SHAREHOLDER RIGHTS.

Chris either you're one of the most gullable individuals I've ever met, or you're one of THEM. As far as calling the company, thats not really necessary. Their actions speak much louder than words!!!

And as far as geology goes, what do you think has kept most of us hanging on this far?? I'll give ya a clue-IT ISN'T MANAGEMENT>

Surething

PS- I'm still waiting for that "significant news"------ or was it the 4.5 million extras???

Reality Bytes....

Chris,

Thanks for your views.... although I don't subscribe to them.. All I can say is that I don't think anyone is trying to turn this thread into a "Winspear Conspiracy Thread"... However, a few people are taking a good hard look at Winspear, the company, in purely analytical terms using information which is openly available to anyone who can access Stockwatch...

It would do well for everyone to remember that, in reality, this isn't a particularly nice world in many ways... and that is particularly true of the business world and the stock market... It is only prudent to try to keep an eye on your what is happening to your hard-earned investment dollars. Afterall, would you walk into a bank and throw your wallet on the nearest table and think that it would be well taken care of just because it is sitting on a table in a bank... Well, money in the market isn't any different. A person would have to be very foolhardy to invest money in a mutual fund, blue chip stock, speculative stock...or just about any other financial instrument, without keeping a close eye on how their money is being managed by those who have the "PRIVILEGE" of making use of it in their companies or financial institutions...

I'm sorry that it bothers you so much that some people on the thread wish to openly discuss financially-related matters... instead of just idly speculating on how many pipes might turn up on the bottom of Snap Lake. Perhaps all that I can say is that only an ostrich might be excused for not paying attention to danger when there is a possibility of being bitten on the ass. If WSP is on the up and up and has great geology, and everyone gets rich, rich, rich.... well...won't that be nice for everyone and this whole discussion is purely academic? However, it certainly doesn't hurt to consider and investigate other possible scenarios. The market isn't a game... people have real money invested in it... and risk losing real money... There is nothing wrong with looking out for Number One...

Now, in the immortal words of Hamlet...

"...[the lady] doth protest to much, methinks....."

You might give that quotation a little thought.
