Thanks for that, great video of tubes being made.

Here's an aritcle on very high end audio equipment in China, and the last person (Zhe Liu) is a vacumn tube designer.

>>Warning : High end audio equipment is a disease. Unlike the watch disease, older high end audio equipment has few collectors and does not go up in value.

By the way, what these high end equipment makers need are

1) An industry group which is high end only
2) Branding
3) Marketing outside of China - and I mean real marketing, these guys don't need to compete on price, and they should get top dollar - more than the Europeans.

One way to do this would be to get set up like the old McIntosh products. They will need to set up store fronts like Bang & Olafason, and have good service, advice and installation.

The other option to sell exclusively to the usual high end retailers, with appropriate PR and advertising to emphasis the fanatasism and care that goes into their products.

Holy mackeral, that took me back.

"Make me a 12AU7, please."

Thinking about the markets, the financial insanity, and our favorite metals tonight.

"Expect the unexpected." is all I can think of.
