Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. I forgot where I heard this, but it is said that you don't see revolutions of the downtrodden. Where you see revolutions is with rising expectations. As a population starts to get more and more comfortable instead of embracing the changes that are netting them positive changes to their quality of life, they tend to opt for revolution to become the dominant force in the culture. This isn't just about the U.S., it's the recipe for revolutions everywhere.
