"So the industry here is technically ahead in many fields."

The US oil and gas industry is a world leader in technology. It is an area where we can truly lead and gain world income. It is too bad such a successful enterprise is so hated.

Schlumberger is one foreign company that comes to mind that is a technology leader in the industry. My bet is that the French are very proud of SLB (any first hand knowledge here on that?).

"Schlumberger has principal offices in Paris, Houston and The Hague, from which the executive management team directs all Schlumberger operations worldwide."

So which american oil and gas tech leaders are moving in to European and Asian shale gas? Too late to hop on board this train?

I've got tiny LNG.v which just announced some shale gas projects in Poland. But there have to be better plays than that.
