Profits and Investor A... Don't get me wrong, I would like to see AMD do well as much as anyone else on this thread, but AMD is their own worst enemy right now. If AMD can get their yield problems alleviated they shouldn't have to worry unduely about any other competitor. Additionally, 2,000,000 chips will amount to a serious loss if the majority of these chips are not 233 or 266 Mhz chips. $30,000,000 additional in sales will not come close to reaching break-even because this is not profits, it's sales which have their own cost associated with them. I use K6 chips in most of the machines that I purchase and find that they perform better in most cases than the Intel counterparts, but if AMD can't get their act together quickly, we might loose another alternative to Intel.
