Proteolix' proteasome inhibitor - carfilzomib has generated a lot of positive buzz at ASH 08. It is about 2 years away from the market (phase IIb results due 2H10), but if it delivers, ONXX will have good return.

I think people were worried about someone one a whole lot worse and more expensive. onyx stock had been crushed since they raised a bunch of money not long ago in anticipation of an expensive munch. So now that it happened, a relief rally.
