Man, how one crummy Republican law can screw up an industry. Most of the online poker rooms have gone belly up or merged into larger entities. Most of those larger combinations cannot spread poker in The United States. The Professional Poker Tour only lasted one season on tv. Celebrity Poker is gone. (Phil Gordon says he hosted for 5 years and the ratings were good. Phil Helmuth hosted for one year and the show was cancelled. <G>) The World Poker Tour has shifted tv channels 3 times and has seen viewership drop like a rock. It has now been sold to Party Poker, which has more chance than many to breath life into what may be a cadaver. The WSOP Main Event has just now recovered to the level of competitors it had before the UIGEA was passed. And this law was supposed to increase traffic to Las Vegas.

Meanwhile, America's game is still growing by leaps and bounds in Europe and Asia.

Thank you Doctor Senator Frist.
