I bet she borrowed more than she needed and lived higher on the hog than a student ought to live. That's why she's talking about her failure as living for the moment.

How the hell did she rack up $26,000 at community college?

Obviously went full time and didn't work. And got a BA degree. I used to interview tons of recent grads when I was a headhunter in the 70's. So many of they wasted their time going.

Let employers test people again, and the Grad requirement would cease. And colleges would get real again.

There are student loan marketers out there encouraging unwary youngsters to take on debt that they do not understand. These marketers are very personable and friendly, but when they cop a new loan they make money. So they'll say anything.
