Re, your reply to my cross section post. The NR did state that Major General's claims did contain thickened gabroic aprons or sequences and that they (Teck) would be returning there to drill again.

I don't recall who on this thread it was who said it, perhaps the Chief, but if this magnetic body (intrusion) is like a snaking, elongated, upside down bowl, then it would seem likely to me, that the entire perimater, but most especially the ones nearest the Nain province suture (East, north and southeast), would be likely to be thickened, and therefore potential troughs for massive sulfide pooling or feeder systems.

Presumably it was that continental collision and subsequent fracturing and fluid injection that remobilized and concentrated the sulfides and/or inoculated the seam between these rocks with the sulfides.

Just guessing.
