The Arabs are bound to simply lose all their wealth on the easy come, easy go, unearned, found wealth principles. The majestic buildings of Dubai look great while new, but there is no reason at all to build a big city where a whole lot of oil happened to be, especially when it's just a big desert.

<Arabs start seeing where the value lies: Abu Dhabi fund buys into Banco Santander Brasil.>

It might be though, that with the next glaciation starting in a couple of months, the old way of life in North Africa and the middle east might look very attractive when Europe is under ice and the desert starts going green again.

Beijing will be dealt with by nature. Brazil should remain a very equable climate.
