Thanks Haim and on the Short EUR / Long GOLD theme.

Message 26013320

and as you have suggested, this would be a long term trade rather then a short one, as GOLD price can suffer extreme volatility in the face of recalcitrant CB's, hedge funds, and other large concerns on the wrong end of the stick. Maybe average in over a few months.

just in in-tray

player 2: I think it was Yra Harris or was it David Einhorn (or was it someone else?) who said (correctly) that the real upmove in GOLD will come when the mkt realises that both fed & ecb are engaged in debasement simultaneously.......

player 1: actually, although gold is not yet at new highs in euro terms (iow., its recent rise was mainly a weaker dollar side effect), the chart of gold in euro looks quite good. as it were, there's actually a fairly good chance that 'crisis, act 2', will be centered on Europe (a number of peripheral countries, many euro area hopefuls, are probably just as bankrupt as Iceland is.).
