ITAA Certification

Dallas, Tx. -- October 24, 1997 -- The Information Technology Association of America (ITAA) notified BRC today that its Technology Sourcing Division, and their ATTACK 2000 process has received ITAA*2000 certification. ITAA*2000 is the industry's century date change certification program. The program examines processes and methods used by companies to perform their Year 2000 software conversions.

BRC's Technology Sourcing Division participated in a rigorous evaluation of its approach to date conversion, with extensive analysis in eleven discrete process areas deemed necessary to a successful Year 2000 conversion. BRC's ATTACK 2000 certification indicates that ATTACK 2000 has the core capabilities needed to address the Year 2000 challenge.

ITAA is the IT industry's leading trade group on the Year 2000 software conversion issue. The ITAA Year 2000 Task Force conducts a full program of Year 2000-related activities, all aimed at helping customers in government and the private sector respond quickly and effectively to the software conversion challenge. A separate white paper, vendor directory, buyer's guide and other materials on the Year 2000 issue are available on the ITAA home page.
ITAA also publishes Year 2000 Outlook, a weekly Internet-based newsletter dedicated to coverage of this issue.

Recent Customers and Services Provided

Indianapolis, Indiana- Indiana Farmers Mutual Insurance Group

BRC Holdings Inc.'s Technology Sourcing Division is pleased to announce that it has entered into an agreement with Indiana Farmers Mutual Insurance Group to perform Year 2000 renovation services. The engagement consists of renovating approximately 1 million lines of Unisys Series A COBOL code. The renovation is scheduled to be completed by the end of 1997.

Austin, Texas- Texas Worker's Compensation Commission

A Year 2000 renovations services agreement has been established between BRC Holdings Inc.'s Technology Sourcing Division and Texas Worker's Compensation Commission (TWCC), located in Austin, Texas. This joint engagement consist of renovating approximately 950,000 lines of NATURAL code. The 1,592 NATURAL program elements (with 465 objects) are to be translated from "report mode" to "structured mode," renovated for Year 2000 compliance and
implementation. The renovation is scheduled to be completed by the end of August,1998.

The State of North Carolina

A North Carolina state agency has finalized an Year 2000 renovation agreement with BRC Holdings, Inc. and Nine Rivers Technology. This joint engagement is a Pilot Program consisting of approximately 12,000 lines of COBOL code. The work will be completed using the Matridigm code renovation factory. The renovation is scheduled to be completed in four weeks. Most of this time will be in testing.

The State of Nevada

A Year 2000 renovation service is currently being conducted for The State of Nevada's Dept. of Information Services. After working through Beta test and pilot programs of the Matridigm factory renovation process, the State of Nevada awarded Matrdigm the contract for the renovation of all state agencies COBOL code. As a channel partner of Matridigm, BRC was brought in to provide project management and technical expertise to the renovation process. BRC
will continue this effort throughout 1997 and prepare the State for the testing tasks which will be required for reintroduction of the code into a production environment. The renovation is scheduled to be completed by the end of December, 1998. Most of this time will be in testing.
