David, Redchip Review's report is a pretty good summary on the company. They like TPRO even without the new product. I have also e-mailed you a Schwab Company report on TPRO for your reference. It is in pdf format which I hope you will be able to read.

Start at the top. The news release at the beginning of this thread summarizes faily well why this stock went from $1.50 to 6.00 on the Y2K play. This is a different company than most Y2K businesses because:

1.) It has a core business (and impressive client list) of working with embedded computer systems (automated factories, water treatment plants, etc) and has little or no competition in this field for the Y2K solution as opposed to the Legacy type business systems that all of the other Y2K companies are fighting over, and

2.) the Y2K will contribute to the growth of the core business while the roll-up of five companies into TAVA tavatech.com accelerates the formation of a structure that will be a stronger entity after January 1, 2000 than before, and

3.) the management of the company which is deliberate and conservative fiscally without being excessively cautious in their aggressive approach to the large task before them.

The CD-ROM is the key to the ability of a relatively small company to take on this task as are the affiliations with Fluor-Daniels and others (see my post earlier today with text from the 10-KSB). Leveraging its intellectual capital, ie. the database "map" of hundreds of automated plant systems by use of the internet and the CD-ROM, TPRO is using year 2000 technology to address the Y2K problem on the factory floor.

I didn't come to write a book. Actually I came to mention to those who haven't heard, that ZITL has today (Oct 30) essentially admitted to having no Y2K business and the stock ZITL is likely to get killed in the AM tomorrow. Given the current market conditions, the other stocks known as Y2K plays are likely to suffer some collateral damage and I wanted to mention it as a potential buying opportunity.

David look at the Research Thread instead of this board (especially today's "market jitters bizarre") to get a background. This is a highly examined stock by some dedicated people. All informed points of view are welcome, hissy fits are dubiously optional.

Zebra

Hello David, Glad to see you on this thread. Is this your first post on something other than the Radica thread? Sorry that you had to witness today's temper tantrums all around.

Probably the best place for you to start is the Topro Research Thread.
Subject 16266

If you are only looking for the hard info on this stock and are not interested in the soap opera we have here, you can probably just follow that thread and skip this one. Take a look at that thread and let us know if we can help you any further.

By the way, does your manufacturing plant in China have any automated equipment that use embedded systems, or is the work there strictly manual? I can probably guess that it is manual, but just checking.

Jim
P.S. Skip has gone on holiday for a couple of weeks so he won't be posting for a while.

El Davido !
Welcome to the madness, the kind of madness ZITL and IOM went through in its early hay days.
You found us now you are betwitched.
Go to HK Houstons research site at the entrance and I strongly suggest that you read all friggin this weekend. Its a good read Davido.

Karl, and folks had a wonderful dinner at a small French restaurant in the East Village with goddess and bouncy. We talked drank discussed groped and got drunk went for espresso and cognac then to the nightingale bar for live punk music. We groped more felt each others heart and a-- more!
We thought of going to a bath house with a bottle of Dom to take a zacussi, but I noticed Bouncies flaring nostril and goddesses very earthy heaving so I left to come and report the meeting of the TPRO titans.
It is only my humble duty to report that TPRO is alive and well in New York City and whether and where this may go we are having a blast as we get to know one another. That includes you JW and the FBI informer.
As we all belong to this mother earth and as we suck milk of life from same breast I believe in sharing both love and hate. As goddess has said its a fine line that we cross.

Good night all !
Joe TPRO
