That was a helpful and well reasoned response and I thank you.

Perhaps I have been lucky with my AMD trades, but I guess I have been fortunate getting out as much as I have been getting in. This is perhaps why I do not trade much because it takes a while to hit bottom and a while to hit near the top (or at least a point where I feel comfortable enough has been made and taxes avoided). Usually this takes about a year for things to go up and down enough to make some cash.

Presently, I would say AMD will not go below 4 and probably not get past 8, so I am stuck in the middle right now. The market used to be ultra rational since the downturn. A bad quarter and the stock goes down. Now we may be enter a new phase wear bad quarters do not always equal a lower stock price and instead the future potential is becoming more influential. So AMD may get crushed on the next earnings report, or it may dip a bit hold for a while until the nvidia/Intel situation is defined a bit more.

As far as ITM calls, I am unfamiliar. I usually make straight trades and no options. I realize this is off topic, so I will do some research and see if that option is best for me. I appreciate the input and bid you a pleasant day.

BTW, in full disclosure:

10/5/2009 AMD SOLD 1500 SHARES OF AMD AT $5.2518 ($7.21) $0.00 $7,870.49

So I have about 3000 shares of AMD left, but not sure when to dump it and either miss another run up or miss a sell off.

We'll see
