Yes, they would have to kill you. :-) You can figure out a semi-manufacurer's total chip capacity if you have enough data and that would give you their cost of production if you could accurately estimate yields. This is the BIGGEST secret people that make chips have(yields/cost of production). So paranoid companies hope to mislead competitors about their capacity and yields for competitive reasons.
