Not a vet and not afraid to say so. Actually tried to enlist 4 different times but rejected on the basis of being half blind. However, I come from a solid military family. My father was a lifer in the 82nd AB, dropped twice in WW2, liberated at least one Nazi death camp and was a life long republican...until GWB came along. that soured him. One brother served in VN and the other served but wasn't sent into action. My uncle never got over WW2 and finally put a gun to his head. I grew up on bases all over the country and most of my good friends are vets. The difference being(from some on this thread) they think as humans and can still find value in human beings of other cultures.
