If you look at the data at metoffice.gov.uk , you see that, for the most part, every year since 1998 has been warmer than every year before 1998. The only exceptions ar '97, '95, and '90, which aren't particularly long ago either; the 10 hottest years give you 1 pre-98 year, which is 1997. In the parallel universe of conservative science, this somehow indicates global warming doesn't exist.

Or, you can throw out the data because somebody you don't like noted it. Which seems a perfectly fine approach in the parallel universe, but would be considered not exactly scientific in conventional reality based belief systems.

>>The Center for American Progress Action Fund is a progressive think-tank dedicated to improving the lives of Americans through ideas and action. We are creating a long-term, progressive vision for America—a vision that policy makers, thought-leaders and activists can use to shape the national debate and pass laws that make a difference.

Our mission is to transform progressive ideas into policy through rapid response communications, legislative action, grassroots organizing and advocacy, and partnerships with other progressive leaders throughout the country and the world.<<
