If you want to 'argue' with yourself, that's fine I suppose, but it has nothing to do with what I said so no need to keep trying to perpetrate a lie by selectively misquoting what I said. It's pathetic, you might as well give it up and save your breath. My earlier comment (not as you misquoted it, but as it actually was): "...paid off more federal debt, measured in real terms as proportion of the national economy, then they added. Thus: net reductions." Truman, JFK, LBJ, Nixon, Carter, all made it. Clinton and Ford almost made it. While Reagan's and both Bush's net increases to the national debt load were HUGE.
