Most presidents, though, refrain from directly attacking media outlets, perhaps with that adage in mind.' <?i>

Given how stridently anti Obama Fox is, I think the WH is trying to goad them into even more blatant bias and attacks...

...conclusion? I don't think Fox can hurt the WH...in fact I think they can only help if they get more extreme...

Every president ends up disgusted with the news media in general and with certain individuals or outlets in particular,' he pointed out, 'but there is an old adage often attributed to Mark Twain that advises against picking fights with people who buy ink by the barrel. He was speaking of the big media of his day, which were newspapers. Most presidents, though, refrain from directly attacking media outlets, perhaps with that adage in mind.'

This sounds like a declaration of war to me. I think the WH may end up being sorry it picked this fight. They sure as hell aren't going to hurt FNC by freezing them out.

It would appear that Ailes met with WH officials in an effort to come to a resolution, the WH refused to come to terms. Now the gloves come off.

I sincerely hope the administration will come away bruised and battered, but having learned a lesson (and perhaps taught one to future administrations).
