halfscot. oberweis doesn't research much. he's a momentum investor, that is, he uses charts primarily to determine what to buy. he believes, and this is correct sometimes, that the behavior of people relative to a company's worth is signaled in the price of a stock. in the case of cymer and this market, it is probably an untenable position as most momentum investors are showing large losses in their dockets and have had a very bad year relative to a nice move on the market. cabot is up only 7% for the year now, many others are worse off.

the bottom line with cymer is that they've got the products that everyone wants in their industry. if the intel's and amd's and samsung's could have it today, they'd all replace their current systems with cymer capable products. but there is the time and cost issue and also the issue of functionality, which according to SVGI has is a non-issue regardless of oberweiss comments.
