chooseanother, while poetry isn't my favorite medium, your poem to and about Dave/Moose is absolutely beautiful! I can only speak for myself, but I "get it"....and actually "got it" on the first run through. (Trust me, that isn't usually the case.) Your poem is one that will last for the ages... You have a true gift!

I feel SI is like the old fashioned "salon"....we are like a village, with lots of houses in it. Each house is a different topic or i.e. "thread".... We all come in and out as we can, and sometimes sit and stay awhile and share and/or vent our thoughts. We gather together and our brains meet each other.

I've been reading your stories, and wish you all sorts of fun and knowledge while you are discovering your roots. You have to be a detective and a packrat, I've found. You have an inquisitive mind, and I'm sure you'll "packrat" the info in your brain....

Each person on earth is given the gift of life. As I mentioned to Dave, it is my feeling that material goods or rags have not much to do with who the person really is inside. Material goods make life easier, for sure. But they don't make the person. They had their life, and we have ours...BUT the question is....what did they do with their life, and what drove them to make the decisions they made along the path.....Did they write a diary or letters?

We never know until we look....
