and it isn't even a sphere, it looks like it is about an average of 4' high. (subtracting the compartment beneath). so I guess it could have a volume of about 1200 cubic feet. I just don't think that is enough to get 50lbs more than a couple of feet off the ground. According to this site, a 380 cubic foot balloon has enough loft to get 14lbs off the ground. adv-creations.com They should be talking to physicist to determine if that balloon could even lift the kid...that would probably save a lot of time in the search.
